Just wondering the diference between these two lights, (one is half the price) I'm finding it very difficult to grasp everything about lighting and heating as their is so many different things to think of

There's really two types of lighting. The uvb tube fluorescent and the mercury vapor bulb. The cheaper spiral uvb can cause eye problems so don't even consider it. The mercury bulbs throw off heat, light and uvb and works good as a basking spot. The fluorescent, which doesn't not throw heat so can't be used as a basking area, does seem to be the better of the two when it comes to uvb lasting and more being put out if you use the one called Arcadia. With both types you will need added heat and that's where several items can be used. Che's, radiant heat panels or depending of enclosure size, radiant heaters. Then if added lighting is needed use any regular type lighting. If your tort gets outside several times a week for natural sunlight, you don't need a uvb bulb at all and can use a regular incandescent or Che for inside basking and heat.
For me the lighting is easy. It's the heat and humidity that is harder to accomplish.

No you are good. i use exo terra heat bulbs but will switch to zoo med. i use zoo med mini compact uvb bulb.(make sure you put it straight over their head so they do not get eye problems. that should be good it works for my russians.

The heat, light and uvb sounds the most straight forward with it being all combined. . But what about wattage? My tort is a baby horsefield, are either of these appropriate?

Get the zoomed one because it will last longer. make sure the lamp is not too close from the basking area. you want it to be between 95-105 degrees higher than that and they won't bask
I like the Power Sun, That's what I use. And a 100 watt is more than adequate to provide heat and UVB for your baby Russian. All people with BABY tortoises should understand that the coil-shaped compact fluorescent bulbs MIGHT harm baby tortoises' eyes. It's best to not take a chance with that type of bulb. It seems to have no ill effects on grown tortoises.
Those work ok, but they usually stop emitting uvb in 3-6 months. The problem is, since it still produces light, it’s impossible to tell when without a uv meter. So definitely replace the bulb every3-6 months, or buy a uv meter so that you know when.
Both of those brands are fine.
Make sure that the temps in the basking spot are 95-100.

Okie doke! I was just wondering what the diferences between the two are aswell since the zoo med is double the price, i thjnk im starting to understand it all abit clearer now thanks to all of the comments haha
The only way to judge which is better between the two brands would be to have a UVB tester and test both of them throughout their life.

I see! So their both the exact same but zoo med is most likely alot better quality
When I bought mine I figured there must be something not quite as good as the zoo med one because the Solar Glo was so much cheaper. (I don't have a UVB meter)
