Keeping 3 males in one enclosure

Hello! I’ve got 3 male tortoises, 1 medium sized and 2 small. Is it safe to keep the 3 in the same enclosure?

I’ve had them for like 1 month now and they didn’t show any types of aggression towards each other, thank god. (No head bobbing, biting5) they also eat and sleep together.

Also, I can’t get 2 more enclosures. I’ve heard that you can get 1, 3, 4 or more but not 2 cause of bullying and etc.

I’m getting 2 hatchlings to go in one enclosure. I’m hoping they are fine for a couple years. I did not know that 2 is the worst quantity to get.

Greetings guys.... there are many many many posts here on the Forum stating reasons why torts should not be kept together, let alone three males. I’m sure others will come along saying “separate” as soon as possible.

I’ve read many of them. I thought as tiny hatchlings they would be fine for a couple years.

If they are hatchlings they can not accurately be sexed. You may not have all males

I understand what you are saying... I built a vivarium for them to keep humidity and heat as optimal as possible. They are both going in there because it’s the best environment for them. At least for a while. They are the size of a quarter. In a 4’x2’ vivarium. IF there is bullying, aggression or significant weight/growth differences I will take action. I don’t think that will be the case. Until that happens, there isn’t a better spot for them in my opinion.

I apologise. For some reason I thought your post about hatchlings was by the OP who had stated they had males. Yep totally had a brain fart.

Trust me ill be on the look out. Once they get some size and past the tiny phase they will each have their own tortoise table. At such a small size, I want total control over their habitat as they can decline in health so quickly. I’m not planning on keeping yearlings together! I do agree very much with you there. Thank you for your advice. Much appreciated!
