Well, his vet randomly disappeared from the clinic we go to and I have no idea what to do now... I have no money and my cards were just closed due to a situational bankruptcy (not consumer debt, cosigned for ex who decided to just leave). Anyway, thats not the point but probably why I am freaking out even more.

Antibiotics, he was great for a couple of months.
The last week? Not eating unless I hand feed him an apple (thats literally all he will eat right now), just wants to sleep, feels lighter in weight.

I am soaking him, he has a nicely heated outdoor box that I mist. heating pad, radiant heat panel, insulate walls, uv light on one side for too cold days, substrate (coconut), a water dish.

Haven't seen poop, but he is urinating but not crates that ive seen.

I am pretty depressed because I dont want him to die. I need help.
vet referrals in San Diego for tortoises etc.

please

I am not understanding what his illness was that he was being treated for.
However, keep him warm, 85 all over day and night with a basking spot of 95-100. Give warm soaks daily. As long as he keeps eating and improving then continue with above for a couple weeks to a month then put temp down to normal. If he stops eating again, soak in baby food carrots and piedialyte. In the mean time find another vet.
Btw, sorry for your hard times your going through right now. Hope it starts looking better and easier for you soon.

There's a very good tortoise vet in San Diego, but I can't think of his name. @Will can you give us the name?

Do what Wellington has suggested and hope for the best.

Thank you so much. Heat is up, humidity is perfect, and ill be checking up on him throughout the night. Researching for reptile vets as we speak and hoping to find a new one soon. thank you

any leads are appreciated! I was given a few names from my step mom, but her exotics are parrots and I want to go to a reptile specialist obviously...

Wanted to give an update! Shiloh is doing great and eating like a tortoise :p He is currently still in his outdoor housing with a UVB light and heating because its been a cold in San Diego. He enjoys showers but not baths so he gets a nice little shower in the mornings to enjoy. Humidity is a newer concept to us in the last year so ive been getting his environment to be a lot more suitable :] I believe this is where his minor pyramiding came from because his diet was always just fine. Im also going to be putting out a sulcata video soon on youtube to educate others on the species and how they are not a beginner pet and that they need a lot more care than pet stores would otherwise tell you. <3
