Yes, I did recommend that they join the forum, and gave them advice and such. I just hope that they actually take the advice, and join, lol
Just goofing and giving you a hard time about it. Glad your on it. Helping to spread the correct ways to keep a tortoise. As long as there are other forums out there, we need to infiltrate them and get the right stuff out there.

Never mind, guys. I found the best one yet-

This one wasn’t on reptile amino, so thank god, in the sea of people who don’t own any pets at all, there was someone who knew their stuff about iguanas to help me reason with this guy.

Apparently, all of their vets said that they were healthy, so this is perfectly fine. Oh, and also- they love to sit next to each other and follow each other around, so they’re best friends!

I went to a zoo in the Midlands UK a few weeks ago, and literally every tortoise they had, from what I can remember were Pancakes and Spider Tortoises were in terrariums with other reptiles. You would think Zoo’s would know better?

Sometimes I don’t understand people’s logic, at least from my perspective
It's just someone without the knowledge needed, thinking like a mammal.
That all animals love to live in packs, get lonely and want affection.

This tortoise is supposedly 1 1/2 years old. And the size of a hatchling.
Oh, and apparently the breeder is super responsible and gave them all of this great information.

Sure feels good, eh guys? We the informed ones, vs. them, the ignorant and dumb.
There is certainly a difference between uninformed and stupid, though, isn't there? Yep.

It’s great, until we’re the ones who can’t live in ignorance, and know that most other people are caring for their tortoises horridly wrong :(

I have seen both types the uninformed, and the ignorant come here asking for help since I have joined. I think 99% fall in the uninformed(and want to learn) category. Whether they're treating their Sulcata like it's a desert species, or feeding there Russian the wrong diet, there's a hundred different scenarios. But the uninformed ask questions, and positively take the criticism and advice and apply it to better care of their tortoise. The ignorant, the unfortunate 1%. They ask questions, they have stuff pointed out to them, but rather apply what they have been advised they find a way to ask the same question 10 different ways. They somehow turn it into their being bullied, talked down to, or told what to do.
