This has been so helpful to read. Boris has very pale yellow skin. He was originally a Pet Smart purchase, and definitely not cstef for very well in his time with the original owner this is really helpful to see how much he needs right now.

They really need like twice the room but I’m working my way up to that lol. I’m glad I was helpful [emoji16] I’m new to Russians but I have a leopard tortoise I have had a while so I’m not completely new. The best thing it to get him/her into the right conditions and diet. I soaked blue everyday the first week to make sure he was hydrated. We are still working towards normal poop but that’s to be expected with the diet change.

I think Boris is dehydrated, too. His owner was afraid of him drowning, so he didn't put water in with Boris at all. The owner told me that water came from his diet, but I'm sure that's not nearly enough. How long do you soak Blue?

about 30 mins twice a week now and I leave a big terra cotta dish of water that he can get in and out of when he needs to in his enclosure

Blue is still doing good. He’s enjoying his new outdoor enclosure and the new plants for his indoor enclosure
