The little ladies (possibly) weren’t using their old hide box. So, I made a new one from a planter box and they seem to like it. It has a pretty big temp gradient inside as well.

Looking great! Not sure if you posted this already but can we see a pic of their setup? I’m always looking for new ideas.

Here you go. I made this enclosure with the help of my family and neighbor. I discovered a 4’x6’ sheet of 1/4” pvc being thrown out (it was a sign). So, I snagged it and made the largest enclosure I could from it. Which was 36”x18”x18”.

Great use of a freebie! What’s the plan when those little monsters get too big for the current setup?

When these guys get too big for the current set up I will make something larger. Of course then I will be tempted to put something back in this enclosure. I have been pretty happy with this one so far. It holds the humidity in well and I don’t have to worry about rotting.

After weighing the tortoises today I noticed that two of the tortoises have doubled in weight over the two months that I have had them. The third tortoise is just four grams shy of doubling her weight. But, she is still tied for largest tortoise.

How many grams were they when you got them. I have some and would like to compare how mine are doing in comparison. I haven't had mine quite 2 months yet. My smallest was 33 gr when i got her.
