They get variety of mixed greens, dandelion, rocket, spring mix, collards etc (last choice for eating), various squashes, bell peppers, portabella mushrooms (favorite), papaya, mangos & strawberries, earthworms once a week (usually will eat 7-8 worms each). Hibiscus flowers. Diet depends on what is avalable.

Yours has a good diet compared to mine. Fruit, mushrooms, worms,slugs and snails.
I tried to follow your advice when I first got mine. You were a Huge help for a newbie. I'm still learning. Now I need to work on outdoor enclosure for warm weather. I will post pictures of their outdoor temporary habitat. They really need more room to move around and explore.
Your ideal in Florida, They can cope with temps down to 70f with no problems. I've had my babies outside when it's 65f for hrs and they never stopped exploring. So lively.
Personally I would look at something that has a full cover on it so predators can't get them. Adult males are only 7" ish. Something like a large bird Aviary is what I would be looking at. So you can create a jungle for them within a safe environment. An Aviary type design would give you height to grow stuff. Just a thought.

That is a very good thought. I have considered it. i would definitely have a covered top on it. i have two cages that are 4'x4'x6' tall. That would make the enclosure 4'x8'x6'. They have a wire bottom so nothing can get in or out. I will look at other options but that may be the most cost efficient.
I'm sure you can do something with them.
If it was me I'd dig a rectangle in the garden, 4x12ft at about 8" deep. Put the cages in on their sides then throw all the soil back in that you dig out. Some hides, water and plants, job done. Can grow plants and bushes on the outside of cages to create shade without taking up floor space in the cages too. Maybe only lay one cage length ways. Just throwing ideas in.

I love your ideas just have problem deciding how to place them. I've got to rethink where to put it. May try to use obsolete butterfly garden area. I am probably over thinking the whole concept. Will post when I make a decision. I have areas that retain water during heavy rain so that is a concern.

@Will. We’ve talked before about how my adults and previous Homeana hatchlings eat a very high proportion of protein (worms,slugs,snails and woodlice), and very rarely eat greens.
I was considering trying to see if I can get this one to eat greens from the off by only offering greens, to see if it was my bad why they turn greens down.
