Anyone have a clue what these plants are??

So first thing - I have absolutely no idea about plants, so bear with me! I might be asking a lot about them in the future lol but for now....

I remember seeing a plant section a couple months back but I’m struggling with trying to find it so I’m posting this thread here! - still learning where everything goes!

Are any of these plants safe for my SA leo??

So the first 2 pictures are of the same plant - I wanted to get one by itself and one that shows how it grows in the ground...

And the last one - the taller, darker green one is dandelion leaves, right?? And, is there anything else in the picture that anyone can tell me if it’s safe for my leo to eat?

The first one MIGHT be wild strawberry, but I'm not sure. I can't see the other picture due to slow internet.

The first one is strawberry.
The second one is some sort of thistle or dandelion I believe.
Both things my tortoise would eat.
Make sure they are good of pesticides.

Yes.
But they may or may not get eaten.

Ok...he actually does try to eat them but everytime we saw we would stop him bc we weren’t sure if they were ok or not...thank you all for your quick responses!! Glad to know everything is safe thus far!

Yes, that I listed.. there is a few scattered plants in the pics that I wouldn't feed though. Make sure to Google and compare the plants we listed to make sure your getting the right ones[emoji16]

It does look like it. I'm not really familiar with it first hand though.

The upside of the of the way I start babies is: They aren't picky and will eat anything. The down side is: They aren't picky and will eat anything.

Anytime you are not 100% positive about what a plant is and know for sure whether or not its safe to eat, don't allow your baby access to it. Since there are so many little odds and ends sprouting up in the area where you took those pics, I would not allow Torque access to that area. There are so many other good things to eat, there is no reason to take a chance on a maybe or an unknown.

Yeah your absolutely right! For right now we can just build him a box to walk around in while he’s outside...in an area where there isn’t any questionable plants of course

South Carolina is weird bc in my backyard in va, all there was, was just grass...I didn’t have all this weird, random crap growing
