I'm so glad you've gotten back into the tortoises. Do you notice any visual difference between Arliss and regular sulcata babies?

Yes! His face resembles a smaller version of the prehistoric look the Sudanese have. The growth lines appear thicker. Even the babies I grew a few years back were not 60 grams at barely a month old! So! We'll see as time and growth progress!

~ You 100% this is a male?
You kill me Greg To me, they're ALL males until they prove otherwise! Of course, I hope its male...
300 pounds sounds better than 150! Plus, they were incubated at 87º...so it's better than 50/50 for a male!

~ Did you actually pick this specific one or was it chosen by the seller?
I told her to pull the biggest, roundest specimen and this was it! Going by the face alone...this is, undoubtedly, the one I'd have chosen!
Besides outstanding looks...this guy is active as all get-out!

Another thing @ALDABRAMAN ...they have a penchant at ATA for feeding out peppers...much like you. Any inside info you wanna share?

~ We feed them to our group when they are available, usually during season.
