Looking for mature male leopard tortoise

Any mature males ?
My female is 7.5 y.o...17" long and weighs a ton.
My male bought the same day from a different breeder is only 10" long @ 10 .lbs.

He got out of the pen and scurried off 5 days ago...

He tried for 2 straight summers to breed with her.....tirelessly. But I dont think it ever happened.

Females are usually larger then males. My males are just a little larger then yours and one female was around the size of yours, maybe a bit larger. They were able too breed and had many eggs and a few babies. It should be possible for them too breed. Otherwise you need to try and find a large male and most of them on here seem to run along the same size as yours give or take a few inches and pounds. Good luck

Btw, keep looking for the male that got away. Call local vets, animal rescues and put up flyers. Be sure to inform neighbors too.
