Do you keep radiata tortoises? There's been some interest to have a thread showing members who keep the radiata by state. Not just breeders, but keepers.

So far only two? There were more of you who asked for the thread. Where are you now?

Any idea where i can find a list for Texas? I only know of 2 breeders. I’ve bought from both, but want more genetic diversity with my group.

I wouldn’t say I’m a breeder but this year I successfully hatched my first baby rads. They are currently breaking out of the shells as I type this! I acquired an adult pair about 7yrs ago from a guy in Dallas and they laid for the first time last year. I’m located in Austin Texas. I don’t have a wildlife permit and when I bought my two adults they were not stud booked. I’m just a hobbiest I suppose :)

You can add me to Texas. Just got my first tortoise a couple of weeks ago.

I have four 5 year olds in Oakland, California, which I’ve had since they were approximately a couple of months old. They are three males and one female. Their genders became clear in the last year. All 3 males have ‘shown’.

Obviously they’re not breeding and I’m a keeper not a breeder. Mine are not stud booked. I obtained them through this forum from Pet Kingdom in San Diego. They’re all at least a foot long now.
