Interesting. I looked up Baccharis and found coyote bush. Seems indians used to make tea out of it to help relieve poison oak rash. I don't know if that means it's edible for tortoises or not.A species of Baccharis
Thank ya much!We have quite a bit of it in our yard, two different varieties. I wouldn’t be surprised if a very hungry tortoise would eat it it but my non picky Russian has never given it a nibble, not even the small flowers. It’s in the aster family so I would think it’s safe.
One of our varieties is low growing and is used by our tortoise for camouflage, it’s great for that purpose The taller one is a good shade plant.
