This is Keto.. He has been 5 days with me. I'm trying to do all the right things for him! But I want to know if he looks healthy to you guys as I haven't had a tortoise in 27 years lol. Thanks to this forum I have learned that things I thought were true aren't true.. in this 5 days I have learned a lot like the piramiding I have seen it but always thought it was normal, I was told once that it meant the tortoise with pyramiding was of better quality and older.

Your humidity needs to be higher in the enclosure. Maybe around 80%. And if you get rid of the dirt and use some sort of bark or mulch, he won't look so dry. Dirt pulls the moisture out of the shell.
So humidity is improving yay! It's at 75 now... I keep his soil humid with some water also added a clay pot which helps to keep humidity too... And I noticed the clay helps him to keep the morning warm like 2 hours more.. as a result of this he is more active!

Ok so I weighted him today and the 1st week he gained 17g and to today it's exactly 2 weeks he only gained 8 or 9g... It's that still good? Should I worry if he doesn't gain too much weight?
