Help me guys. I have 3 people that want to take Turbo. They saw his picture and all want him for breeding. Is this a bad thing? One of them is near me in Winston Salem NC called Kernersville Reptile zoo. Please help. I want him to have a good life.

U can choose who u want him to go to can't u? If u don't want him to be used for breeding don't give him to someone who wants him for that reason.

I don't know if that is a bad life for a tortoise or not. I think it would be better then him living in my deck. This is a very hard decision for me to give him up in the first place. Just asking for opinions.

A lot of backyard sulcata breeders have no idea what it means to be a GOOD breeder. If it were me, I wouldn't put him into that situation. There are so many male sulcatas needing good homes those folks looking for a male to breed will have no trouble finding one. I would try to find a home where Turbo will be an only tortoise, so that he gets the individual attention he deserves.

I second what Yvonne says. Find him a good home where he will be the only tortoise. If you can not, take him to a sanctuary where they do not breed the tortoises. Or a rescue that will find the right home for him. Good luck
