I'm always Leary when I hear the word "rescue".
Hoarder or retailer is usually more correct.
The one "rescue"that I'm aware of that is in reality a retailer is in Miami.
He's just a seller taking in people's animals to make a buck.
He actually joined the forum a few years back and I gave him BOTH BARRELS.
Haven't seen him since.
At the other end are hoarders. People in way over their heads with way too many animals and too much obligation. Not enough time or resources.
I think most have great intentions, but don't stop it even though the animals are all sick and dying.

Sadly, I believe you are correct. I've always thought of hoarders as individuals who get into too many pets.

But I think maybe this place started out as a genuine rescue, and became overwhelmed. That's still no excuse for allowing this horror. Just nauseating.

Looks more like a pet store to me. I pulled up their web site and looked for the 'owners' on FB. ONly one of them has a FB account, and some of our members are 'friends' with him. I'm thinking there's more to this story.

Very interesting, Yvonne! You're quite a good detective! I think I'll check it out a bit more thoroughly.

Yeah, go easy on your legs (as I frequently remind my wife who is always jumping to conclusions). The owner may be lying in a hospital in a coma, or dead himself. Probably not, but I try to wait till the facts are in before castigating some guy or gal who may be innocent.

I agree that it may possibly be that the owner is in a coma or dead, and I also agree that this is probably not the case.
