My yearling Cherryheads growth seams have started coming in white. It's this the start of Marbling? Or is it just new growth? This is the first time the seams have been this color so I'm hoping Marbling. What is some of you more experienced keepers opinions? @ZEROPILOT @Anyfoot @domalle @cdmay @Redfoot NERD @allegraf IMG_20191126_190425479.jpg IMG_20191126_190455000.jpg IMG_20191126_190507837.jpg

Looks like marbling on the plastron. I don't see marbling on the carapace, just looks like new growth to me.

You'd see the same white "feathering" on the carapace as you've observed on the plastron if marbling was occurring there as well.

Yep, you are correct. It turned out to just be new growth. It darkened within a few days.

Thank you for pic of the plastron. Have you got pictures of the parents? Is this little one orange/yellow on the head or it is just a lighter red and the picture doesn’t show it?

No pics of the parents unfortunately. No yellow but it's more of an orange-red. Not bright red like some other Cherry heads I've seen.IMG_20200110_201412930.jpg IMG_20200113_185756503.jpg
