Temps stay 70-100 degrees humidty is 60-80 and its kept on a tote she/he ear fine poops and pees but the skin does lool wierd now can you tell if it its a bruise or something more serious. I think it might be shedding?Something is very wrong with that tortoise. Notice all the various patches of skin/scales on the legs that has fallen off.
Can you please describe in detail the enclosure and how it is kept. Temperatures, humdity, substrate, open or closed, etc.? Is it being kept with other tortoises?
Aw geez, Mark. I'm so unobservant. Sorry, Ttfjc, for my quick response before. I'm afraid Mark's right. Is it possible rats or mice have been chewing on this baby? and that he was dropped?Something is very wrong with that tortoise. Notice all the various patches of skin/scales on the legs that has fallen off.

So you think its just a bruise? When i put a bit of force it moves a little bit. And for substrate i use a blanketI've seen skin like that when they are housed on wet substrate all the time. Damp is good. Wet is too much.
When I've seen septicemia, its usually in the middle and somewhat symmetrical. I've not seen case of septicemia where is only one side and not centered.
Good catch Mark. I didn’t notice until I went back and studied the pic.Something is very wrong with that tortoise. Notice all the various patches of skin/scales on the legs that has fallen off.

Im 100% that a dog did not did that... I don't have a dog...Looks to this non-expert like he has got injured, maybe a dog got to him, and has internal damage/bleeding.
