Not bad Yvonne.
I have been keeping things quiet as I didn't want to jinx things.
All three of my females laid for the first time this year and a total of 133 eggs were laid with 18 broken.
I wasn't expecting any fertile but when I candled them 110 were fertile and showing embryos which if they all hatch I have no idea what I'm going to do.
You could sell a few to me ?

I had to discard quite a few of the eggs this a.m.:

This usually happens if the medium is too dry, but it's not. So I don't know why it happened.

As you know Yvonne I was looking after a friends browns for a year and one of hers laid i think three times before she came to me and I have tried to incubate them and each time they failed. They all closed in on themselves like yours have done which i think was due to them being infertile. This year so far hers hasn't laid even though my three did which is a shame as it would be interesting to see if any of hers were fertile.
I have two young males in my group which did often fight with hers which I have found with some of my other tortoises seems to increase fertility but as I have seen all three males mate with the girls I have no idea who has fertilised my eggs.

Well, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you having success (or "holding my thumbs", as I believe they say in your neck o the woods!!)

I wish I had another male to get that testosterone flowing. I have 0.04 young Manouria, but they are phayreii.
