Which brand of cypress much do you use? Some images would Help.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I was thinking of getting that brand, does it stick to Food? The current substrate I use atm gets all over the food, I’m looking for something that doesn’t make a mess.I use this from home Depot or LowesView attachment 302137
Much? lol I hope not as much as the one I’m using right now. It eats ALL over the food bowl, everywhere.I use that brand too. It doesnt stick too much in my experience.
No its not bad ? mine tracks a bit into the food and water, but its not very much and its really easy to cleanMuch? lol I hope not as much as the one I’m using right now. It eats ALL over the food bowl, everywhere.
I like to use reptibark around the food and water dishs. It's the absolute best thing I found.Much? lol I hope not as much as the one I’m using right now. It eats ALL over the food bowl, everywhere.
I would like to get some here but it’s pretty expensive for the bag I’ll probably have to buy 2-3 bags which would cost me about 50 dollars.I like to use reptibark around the food and water dishs. It's the absolute best thing I found.
I believe that’s the best substrate, but I can’t find any here in the stores.Im pretty sure Reptibark is just orchid bark. Which you can also get at home Depot or Lowes. This bag is $5View attachment 302161
I’m going to look for that brand, I remember looking at that brand of them but it had Dye so I wasn’t certain it it’s safe for tortoises.I use. 3”-4” depth of the No Float cypress then cover with Reptibark. On the east coast this is the cheapest way to get the Fine Fir Bark look and works well. Way cleaner too
I use that also. (Indoors. Not outdoors)I believe that’s the best substrate, but I can’t find any here in the stores.
I looked it both places, tried online and nothing, as well as home depot and Lowe’s.I use that also.
Home Depot stores or online.
Where are you located?
I bought that specific brand the cypress Blend. I only covered half of the enclosure with it the rest has no substrate. Does it stain the Tortoise? The quality of the mulch in my area varies a lot.
I suggest you hand sift it out of the bag.
I've found metal debris, wire and plastic in mine.
And one time, the whole contents smelled like a dead animal. So I threw it out.
It hasn't stained either my redfoot or my leopard. It covers my leopards completely and is the majority of my redfoots. She has a different brand of cypress on top that I cant find any more, but i had thay little bit of the bag left, hence just the top layer. She digs in though with no issues or stainingI bought that specific brand the cypress Blend. I only covered half of the enclosure with it the rest has no substrate. Does it stain the Tortoise?
The previous substrate which was Organic topsoil made my tortoise get really dirty & the soil got stuck on its Scutes. It also got on its Food. Should I cover the Whole Enclosure with it?
