Hello everyone. Im in need of some help. My tort is 10 yrs old ive had him since birth. I am moving to WI in a month or so. How do i winterize an enclosure for him ? We have never lived in the snow. He's about 100 pounds. Should i just build him a small house ? ?‍♀️ please any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Leave your tortoise in AZ. Unless you want to spend the money to build a giant heated warehouse with heated floors for him, WI is no place for a giant tropical reptile that needs thousands of square feet of walking space.

You can get a new tortoise of a more manageable size and species for that climate when you get settled in there. No matter how much it might hurt your feelings to part with your tortoise, it won't hurt his at all. Do what's best for the animal.
