Aloha everyone. I’m glad this forum exists. It’s a great collective resource for tortoise keepers especially those who are fairly new to the hobby just like me. I found out that tortoises shouldn’t be kept in pairs and that high humidity helps prevent pyramiding so I’m in the process of getting a closed chamber.

Two or 3 months ago he was in his soak, and there was something beside his tail swishing around in the water.

Yep! He's a boy! I haven't seen it since. ?
