Hello,
I recently purchased a baby Hermanns tortoise and I was wondering whether it's ok for me to take him into the garden because the weather is good at the moment. I understand that I have to be extremely careful to not lose him, as tortoises can run, but other than that is it ok? I have not used any pesticides or weed killers in my garden

For about 1/2 an hour and be sure she has shade available. If it's too hot, be very careful as babies can get heat stroke very easy. Give her a warm soak when you bring her in.

Make an enclosure. You will lose the tortoise if you don't. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow, but eventually...

Here is the current and correct care info. It addresses your question and explains how to go about it safely.

Yes, u can!! Just make sure that there are no predators around at the moment. Make sure too that he has a shady place to retreat to as well, or else he will die from overheating, which I experienced before with my tort ? and it does not feel good at all.
