Any one know of airlines that will fly sulcatas? 30lbs. Looking at other ways. Gets extremely pricey.

For torts that size, I've used United Cargo and also Delta. The people at the counter seldom have a clue, so act like you know what you are doing, and you can make things happen. I typically use a plastic dog crate with grass hay on the bottom. The counter people seem to be more comfortable with a dog crate style carrier since they ship pets in those all the time. i am moving to Michigan from Vegas in two weeks. So yeahI think there's this shipping service called the Delta Dash cargo. I took a look at their website and it seems like they have banned it temporarily due to covid. So, if you're planning to travel with your tortoise right now, then this might not be for you, but if you're looking to travel with it later, then maybe u mght have a chance to! Here's the website if you're interested:
Good luck!
Gosh the quote I received just for the one 30lb one was 750$ from shipyourreptilesYour best bet is to just use shipyourreptiles.com. Overnight to a nearest hub for pickup the next morning. A 40 lb box will run about $200 to ship that way and the tortoise is only boxed about 17 hours total.

I shipped 3 leopards on Delta Dash from Chicago to Texas. Each in their own dog crate. I think the total for all 3 was around 250.00. For sure not 750 or even close.Gosh the quote I received just for the one 30lb one was 750$ from shipyourreptiles

Just drive and go get it. Buy a large container put in your car and make a road trip out of it they travel well I know this because I’ve taken mine on vacation several times I have six. They will do just fine in a vehicle for a couple of days until they get to their new homeAny one know of airlines that will fly sulcatas? 30lbs. Looking at other ways. Gets extremely pricey.

I had planned on driving. But it won’t work out. Need to ship and fly every thing to Michigan. We are relocating. It’s 2000 miles. Plus I have a baby.Just drive and go get it. I have no problem putting them in the truck. Have had these tortoises for 7 years.
