While I was flipping thru my over 1000 photographs in my computer I saw a pattern with Mary Knobbins' pictures.
For whatever reason, it looks like I take her pictures head on...

She is evidently tired of my camera in her face...this is what it looks like just before she bit the lens...see her tongue? lol

omg! This is really an exceptional Sulcata. It's too bad she is so young and I am so old. But somebody is going to end up with a 100 pound ill-tempered, adventurous, homely beast and get the best years of her life.100_1101.JPG100_0915.JPG

She/he's a hermaphrodite! That's a very male gular, but the "private parts" look female. If you'd quit showing pictures of the stoopud tortoise I'd quite being on the fence about her/him.

Agree! Never seen a female with gulars like that - or even close to like that!

Love the photos Maggie!

There's got to be a time-lapse for this pictures, the gular on the tort in the bottom picture is way to different then the others. The face is also darker with more dark lines on the beak

She/he probably bit your lense because she/he saw a reflection of FOOD!

I don't want to be rude, but that is one ugly animal!

You ever think about auditioning her/him for a Hollywood schlock horror film?

I kinda think it's one thing for me to say my tortoise is not pretty...but for you to call her flat out ugly??? Maybe you just haven't had your morning drink to change your personality to nice, from jerk

I think all of the tortoises are beauties, I love the funny expression on their faces, and the feelings that show in their eyes! Though they all resemble the next one, they all have their own unique features that shows the true personality..they remind me of dinosaurs ?

Don't they though... show their feelings in their eyes and expressions and even how they hold their head.? Animals talk if we can read them.
