I'm impatiently thumbing thru my caches of photos, knowing exactly what I am looking for but not where it is...and I found this. Remember...I'm a native Californian...this photo was taken a number of years ago in a land where the sun shined...shone? He carried the mycoplasma disease, in him it presented as an URTI. Daily I woke him up with a warm soak, then I would use one of those bulb things to suck the snot out so he could breathe and smell. After he ate I would spray an antihistamine in his nares and give him an antibiotic at times. You can see his beautiful face has no nose...I think I just sucked it outa him...:( years I did that... then I stopped. But these photos show the absolute glee he felt when he saw that big pile of dandelions, just the flowers this time...later the leaves. But this little tortoise was crazy over the flowers...I think the pictures need no explanation

Yeah, he had mycoplasma, but the reason you sucked his nose was because he had an abscess that we couldn't get rid of. That's why his name was Ab, short for Abscess Nose. What ever happened to him? Did he stay in CA when you moved north?

Honestly Y you need to take memory pills...go look in your carport unless he's dead...just like Scruffy...here I felt that it wasn't good for her to live in a shed and how could I enjoy her in there...so you said I could put her in your pond and you never saw her again.
With all the turtles that have died in the pond over the years why weren't there shells and bones in the bottom when you drained it? Maybe you should watch them when they dig in the pond...
