LED strips

Hi all

I’m popping some LED strips around the inside of my tortoise table (inside but very top) would this be appropriate? I’m aware it has to be 5000K

They are good for daytime ambient light, but offer very little in the way of heat. Closed chambers would get a heat boost from the old style filament bulbs. I use mine to keepa constant schedule of light year round with timers. What is your heat source?

I agree.
LED provide only light. But they can provide both brilliant daytime effects and there are even "new" types that provide UVA and UVB.
These ARE the future of lighting. Grab all of the incandescent bulbs you can if you want to use them as heat sources. Because they're disappearing from shelves everywhere.
CHE (Ceramic Heat Emitters) are still the most reliable, longest lasting and most economical way to provide heat day or night. They provide heat and no light. They are not part of the incandescent bulb ban.
