I agree with MenagerieGrl. Week for the soaks and if doing a lot better and eating some then you can stop the carrots and piediyte and drop soaks back to 1 or 2 times a week until he is 100%.
2x9 is fine just a bit narrow. I would put his food and water at the ver end so he has room to walk around without having to walk thru them. You can also add on a top level to give more space. Having space for exercising/walking helps keep things moving inside and muscle strength.
Glad he seems to be doing better. Keep up the good work.

I mean the soak today made him more active and have his eyes open. He still didn’t eat but he would just look at it and move away. Hopefully he’ll start eating little by little. Yeah what I was thinking was making a top level for him to climb and move around. And have rocks and kinda little obstacles for him to climb and exercise. Thank you so much for all your help and everyone’s help! You saved my tortoise and a terrible disaster

Looking and acting better is the first step. I'm thinking he has been to hot and dehydrated. They can do fine for a long time without food but not water. He will be getting some nutrients from the carrot soak too.
The enclosure idea sounds good. Just be sure there are no flipping hazards.

Yeahh he’s went couple of days without eating or drinking, I feel so bad for not knowing, google misinformed me. Just a curious thought. While I was soaking him he would rarely open his mouth to absorb the carrot mixture, does he absorb it through its skin or? Sorry learning more now. And yes I’ll be keeping an eye on him the first few days when he’s in his new enclosure.

Supposedly thru their cloaca and I believe possibly skin.

Try some romaine or iceburg lettuce. Most tortoises love it. It shouldn't be a big part of their diet but let's see if we can get him eating. Try soaking him in warm water and get some baby food carrots to add to the soaking water.
If you can collect tort safe weeds, dandelion, cactus, mulberry leaf. Grocery store greens add to the spring mix, radicchio, mustard greens, small amounts of kale, curly endive, collards. As much of a variety as possible.
what does the baby food carrots to the soaking water do? Is this just because the tort is sick or is this something you do often?

No, it's not a regular thing. It's mainly for tortoise with eye issues, not wanting to open them. However, I suggest it a lot for sick failing tortoises. It seems to help when they don't want to eat and are not moving much.

Hello, so quick update, he still hasn’t eaten, he just looks at the greens more now even go through them but that’s it. He seems more active, he would walk for a bit and thn head back to sleep. Quick question should I let him rest or should I keep waiking him up, cause every time I carese his back he wakes up and starts moving, and idk if I should do that so he becomes active and he gets his appetite back. Just an assumption

Hum, that's a tough question, and honestly, I'm not sure of the answer.
I believe it was mentioned above, By @wellington, that they can go for weeks w/o eating, but Not drinking/hydration. So, until someone with more experience chimes in, just keep up the soaks....

I just posted an update!
Well, that is wonderful news 🎉, I'm cautiously optimistic.
Hopefully this is a corner turned. Maybe his :tort:appetite has returned.
Just keep up these soaks, and if he has a favorite food, ply him with that...
I have my fingers crossed.
BTW, I did not notice if you mentioned his name.
What is your buddy's name . . ?

I still haven’t found his favorite food since I just got him in the beginning of this month /: that’s why I was so clueless!! You don’t know how worried I was for him! And his name is Sylvester! (Named him after the looney tunes) When I got him he was wild, he’ll be crazy trying to climb everything, dirtying his food! Pretty crazy lol. But yes! Thank you all for all the help!!

Well, as in My "Handle/Nickname" I'm a animal lover, I have a lil farm, along with 9 Parrots. My kids are the most important thing to me. My parrots see the Avian Vet Specialist more than I see my Dr. So as with most the great folks here, we worry about others Tortle's as our own...
And should one pass (as I have had) we (at least I) grieve along side of you....
And that being said, we also rejoice! when a Tortle regains their health...

Glad he started eating. Keep up everything that has been suggested for at least a week or two or until he seems 100%. No harm in treating him as if he is still not eating but can go backwards if you end too soon.

Yess I would keep doing all that until he gets 100% healthy! I don’t plan this to happen ever again! Thank you for the time and dedication you had towards Sylvester ! Really appreciate it!

Hello guys quick update!! So he’s doing amazing, he’s back to being a happy active tort! Just one question, the around of his beak still white, I thought it was due to the dehydration, but it’s still there. Is that normal?

You should try applying coconut oil to his dry shell areas. It will moisturize it like a toe nail. They learn to love getting oiled up. It makes them very pretty I might add!!!! Only get pure coconut oil, not the kind with a munch of lotions mixed in....🤠

Thank you!! I mean it’s on his beak, like the picture I put on this threat in the beginning! Can I also put it around his beak? And how often should I do this cause I know it can be bad aswell

No, coconut oil isn't unhealthy at all. The tortoise can eat it. I use it on my own skin. Actually putting some on the shell is better than not. And whenever Artemis seems like she has some dry skin on the head, I put some on her. She is very pretty
