I've sprung a tiny leak in one of my pool ponds that I made a few posts about previously.
The screw is in the hole just to remind me where it is located.
I have no idea how it happened. The plastic is still very pliable. I have no sharp objects in there. But I'm happy to have found it. It was leaking over 1,000 gallons every 24 hours.
Otherwise these are doing very well.

Good catch Z, I love the temp repair. It looks like the same poly plastic we receive glycol in. It's rare, very rare that they leak by themselves but it sure looks like a "nit" in the plastic blew out as that's a better grade of plastic than a shopping cart for instance. A little black snot on that screw & back in, will last longer than either of us will brother! LOL

Or are you going old school with a vinyl patch on the inside? I have slept in a waterbed for nearly my entire adult life....I have extras! In 40+ yrs, I had 1 leak.....early on...one of those whole lot of pretty combined with a whole lot a crazy! Well worth the "vinyl patch", but not something you want around longer than, say Sunday. LOL

Hopefully you found it before the pond was empty.
It did go almost completely empty. Twice

I used what I had handy. I dried the area. Cleaned it with alcohol and smeared some black liquid RTV gasket on both sides.
I imagine that's going to last as long as I'll need it to. Another few years.
