With a heavy heart, unfortunately and though I never expected my current situation, I'm searching for a home for my three year old eastern hermann, Kepler, approximately full grown and 5ish inches long in the shell. He has been well cared for, calcium and UVB/sunlight, varied diet of weeds and mazuri with mixed greens, daily soakings, 80%-90% humidity while in vivarium. Healthy and bright eyed, very active and accepting of head/neck/shell pets. He has zero fear of humans, and can be hand fed, doesn't even go in his shell when carried to soak. Will follow me around, very curious. Full disclaimer, he will go after bare feet to try to eat them, but wearing socks/shoes he ignores them 😂 He's a funny man, had a romance with one of my 20lbs weights so I suspect has reached breeding maturity.
Despite absolutely dedicated monitoring and care, he has very very slight pyramiding, but nothing that would interfere with quality of life. He has overall, the long bowl-shaped spine slope.
I would direct you for care to Tom's temperate care sheet, and that by (https://www.hermannihaven.com/t-hermanni-care-sheet).

Once you express interest, I would want to be shown your outdoor enclosure space with approximately 8x4 area to roam and deep shade/sleeping house, for his benefit and also to make sure you're not just going to "flip" him and sell him for profit. He does burrow to sleep, so walls might need to be implanted into the ground a bit to prevent escape.

Contacting if allowed can be via reply, email at [email protected], or text at (541)286-2998. I am located in Corvallis, OR but am confident in my ability to safely ship reptiles within the united states in overnight shipping, similar to this with sphagnum (
) as he was received as a young lad from TortStork.

Rehoming fee to try to prevent flipping is $150 + shipping, but can be reduced to shipping + shipping materials + gas if it can be applied directly to his outdoor enclosure and it seems a solid fit.

I can't seem to attach photos, but here is a gallery, let me know if you want to see more. Disclaimer, I took the photos on the counter while he was half asleep so he didn't rampage off, that's why his eyes aren't as bright and alert lol

We have a member in your area. @Maggie3fan
Have you tried to contact her? She might be interested herself or be able to help you place the tortoise safely with another good new owner.
