I am unsure if this is the correct place to post this, so if it is not, I apologize in advance.

Do y'all have like turtle/tortoise care-package trading?

For instance, I live in the southwest, and prickly pears grow wild in my backyard, but moss and mushrooms don't.. whereas, someone in a more humid, forest-y area has access to moss but not prickly pears. So, you could have like a list/group of people to send little treats to for their turtle/tortoise?

Just asking.

I just thought since there are so many people living in different places, it might be fun to get new stuff for our babies.. Plus, I don't know about y'all but I love getting mail that isn't ads or bills!

My spider plants all had babies. If I knew how to safely ship live plants, I'd love to participate. I have plenty of seeds to share, though.

I have cactus growing wild in my backyard.

I also wondering is legal to ship things like this out of state, but I like the exchange idea/program.

I'm not sure about moss, but I also have tons of spider plants. Literally, I don't know what to do with them. I'd be willing to do some trading if people were interested. Maybe I can see if there is a way to ship little spider plants.

Let me figure out how to ship live plants and I'll get back to you. If I still lived in Frisco, I would've driven as many as you wanted down to you.

Here's a pic of some of the spiders I have in the enclosure:

HA! ! ! ! !

By looking at your photo I just realized I have this big Spider plant in my sun-room for many, many years, we only add water and it just grow, which I will remove some and use in the tortoise enclosure.

Wonderful! ! ! ! ! !! Thanks.

Hi guys I'm down to exchange things. I live in San Diego. I just do t know what we have here that people in other states don't have?
I didn't know that sulcatas eat spider plants? Good to know [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]

Also, I would like to know if any of you buy mazuri in big amounts( 15lb or more).
I once bought mazuri at the pet store 12oz for $12 which was expensive and it didn't look good. But I found this person in craigslist who sold me 3 lb for $9. But it was one time only.

Any ideas ?

The post office has these neat boxes that are very sturdy and have a set charge to mail them (which is a reasonable price)and a variety of sizes. As for laws, the states you would really have to worry about would be shipping into CA and Florida.

Evy, I buy my Mazuri in big bags. Are you wanting a small amount? I can't remember what the box costs for the small size.

Jacqui, that would be cool, I would pay for it no problem. Penny my sully is only 1 1/2 pounds about 5-6inxhes long she doesn't eat much.
I would love to know where you get it for future reference and how many sulcatas you have that you get it a big bag. How much do you use? This is my email [email protected]

I buy mine from a feed store that also happens to supply it to the Omaha Henry Dorley Zoo. I bought two bags this fall, so I would have plenty all winter long and not have to make the two plus hour drive again. I have several sulcatas including a couple well over 50 lbs, but also have many other tortoises.

I buy my mazuri from mazuri .com . I buy 25 lbs bags for 39.99 $ shipped. Check it out see if they ship smaller quantities. This sounds perfect because this time of year cactus is hard to find .

That's a great idea. I'm pretty sure you have a big area for all [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]

Mike that a great idea for the future. For now Penny only eats 5 pieces per day but later on we need to get a bigger bag
