Well, I have finaly been able to weigh her. She will be 4 months old april 9th and she is 44 grams. I don’t know if this is normal for a 4 months old and I know that it’s growth that matter so I will be adding age with weight every months. Im doing everything I can for her, hopefully she doesn’t die (I don’t know how she was cared for before I got her at 2 months old)

Well, since 44g a couple days ago, I weighted her every day because it was the first time that I had my food scale and I wanted to know as soon as possibe if she was gaining weight. Yesterday she was 47g and today she was at an amazing 51g!! I know many factors goes into this but my lightest mesurement was 47 in the last 3 days. All this tells me she is probably gaining weight now. I can’t wait to weigh her next week. Also since 44g, I started putting mazuri all over her food so she has to eat it because she still doesn’t eat it by herself. Maybe the growth has something to do with this idk...I also ordered some Repashy’s grassland grazzers powder to have even more variety in her diet even if I was unsure because the first ingredient is dandelion powder and this has to be fed moderatly AND it grows everywhere in backyard so it’s not like if I had to buy it in powder form. I want it so I can give her things like hibiscus and cactus(things that absolutely does not grow in CA). I bought some hibiscus but I have to wait at least a year because it was in a garden center full of pesticides (double flowers hibiscus). I do long soaks two times a day because she still produce dry urates even with the soaks and my effort to make her food have lots of water in it. Anyway I believe this is progress and I’m happy about it!IMG_0319.jpgIMG_0331.jpg

Yesterday Gaïa reached 5 months. She is now 73g. The pattern I see is that she keeps about the same weight for a week and then takes a couple grams in 3 days. This time it was weird she went from 68 to 78 really quick and then went back to a stable 73. Anyway, I think she’s doing fine even if she’s extremely small for her age. This week im gonna try to find nopales in an exotic grocery store. Any tips on how to introduce it to a baby who’s never ate a cactus?

Chop it very tiny and mix with her favorites.

Awww congrats! Mine are 5 months today:) new weights tomorrow. I just cut the pads in half and put a half in each enclosure.. they take bites right out of it... I chopped at first but it was really messy and they didn’t seem as interested??
