Both Timmys eating - No Fighting
Little Timmy looks so much like my Dozer when he was a tiny guy. Melts my heart 🥰 Is there worms in their dishes?

Are they eastern hermanns?
Yes, supposedly they are Eastern Hermanns. Both males, my second tortoise was supposed to be a female, but the breeder sent me another male. A complaint was made with American Express and I was refunded in full for the second tortoise without returning the tortoise because I cared for it for a significant time. We became attached to both males.

Both are from different sellers; the sales experiences were horrible. Tortoise #1 (3 years old) is a larger Eastern Hermann and Tortoise #2 (2 years old) is a smaller breed of Eastern Hermann. Tortoise #1 is about 10 inches and Tortoise #2 is about 6 inches long.

Tortoise #2 (smaller one) tries to dominate, but the larger Tortoise #1 defends himself. Tortoise #2 loses the fight receiving more bite marks; therefore, they are kept in different enclosures.

Both tortoises are very attached to humans, they follow us in the living room and walk over our feet for attachment. We have separate areas for each tortoise. They like neck massages.

There is minimum soilage in their enclosures and in our living room by soaking them in warm water. They excrete in the warm water and get washed under the faucet / dried before allowed to roam around, however, it is time consuming. Also, we frequently wash their water & food dishes and enclosures to maintain clean indoor enclosures.

Sweet, I also do plan to get a eastern hermanns,
do you have the seller’s contact info?

I can only respond that my two breeders were deceptive. Both have horrible customer service. Shop around and look at their Google reviews.

These torts are nice pets. Good luck!

Wow, I could never put 2 of my male Hermanns together like that. They'd be fighting, biting, and ramming.. & I ran into the same problem, my newest hermann was supposed to be female but come to find out he is not lol.. Cool that you got your money back though. I didn't. I found out too late. Couldnt figure out why "she" kept mounting my older female that I paired "her" with 😂. Everyone kept telling me it was normal for females to assert dominance that way but the squeaks & the way the turtle was getting into it i knew It was a male. Now that he's older his gender is very clear.. little Timmy looks eastern while bug timmy looks western. I know you told me both eastern. They're both beautiful💙

I believe the tortoise breeders keep the females for themselves for profitability. All tortoises are territorial and will fight each other. The males have long tail wrapping to their leg. The female tortoises have very short stubby tails. Ask the breeder to send pictures of the tort top and bottom.

Problem was his tail was really short and stubby for the longest time until he started growing. I got him as a hatchling. Thats why by the time we noticed he was a he, it was too late to put in a complaint. It had been too long. All my other males were noticeably male from the beginning but he was a "late bloomer" i guess 😂
