@Kasia thank you!! Me too! I love just watching him! We tried letting him swim last night and at first he wasn’t sure what to do then it finally kicked in and he was swimming like a pro!! It was adorable!
Hey guys I'm new here and have a few questions how much food should a leopard tortoise about four months old and 59-60 grams in weight eat how much do you think it should be weighing and eating and how many grams per week should it go up and how many poots should I see I got it on the 6/5/2018 I am going to schedule a wellness check up with my vet for it cause I want to make sure I'm being goofy a great momma
@KaitlovesLeopardTortoise lol everyone on here tries to be....make sure to listen to what he suggests to the T...my baby torque came from him and as you can tell, he/she is thriving and very, very healthy! Tom knows exactly what he’s talking about!
I saw my baby poo today !!! I never thought I would be so excited about tortoise poop or any type of poop!!! Lolol I took toms advice He gave me and my torto pooted!!!
I'm going to go out and enclosure it's cage find a huge plastic hardware tub and make sure it keeps heat in and humidity asap already changed my bulbs to che . He is so smart! And thank you again!!! Baby wanted to eat dried grass roots today I was like well what ever made him have a good poop!
I HAVE great needs my baby is doing great I think compared to last week and weekend. It's pooped almost every day now since Sunday!
I prayed over my little tort and tried to make its diet more interesting by doing squash, pumpkin hibiscus, carrots, collards,turnip greens and a tiny bit of strawberry an cilantro I blended it up put it in a container in fridge and used a thumbs worth and he she ate it really well. The pet store also just got back to me they were feeding it carrot squash potatoes romain lettuc mazuri peppers
No wonder my tortoise hated my previous leopard friendly diet it was not tasty like the pet stores lol with all those veggies >< I'm going to start to transition it to a more green diet cause I know they don't handle sugars or protein too well and that diet isn't a ton of sugar they had them on
I forgot to mention that I wasn't lightly cooking the squash down so it could eat better. I was so worried about my little one but it's eyes are clear. No discharge from nose and it's active and sleeps as much as a baby should @Tom he is awesome told me to change my lights out and put my baby in a closed enclosure to keep heart in and humidity so I did and I'm seeing wonderful results !! This guy is a tortoise expert and very wise !
