    Sully Advice Please

Thanks Tom, you are right, she didn't have Sulcata's. I would be daft not to consider your comments regarding housing and pairs considering your experience. Have taken it all on board ;)

    Sully Advice Please

Thanks for the responses guys, much appreciated. Tom, thanks for your comments, having read some of your other posts we will definitely give your recommendations some consideration. With regards to the enclosure this has been a difficult topic for us. When we first decided to get the torts we...

    Sully Advice Please

Hi Angela, 100-110 degrees basking spot. Drops to about 70 degrees elsewhere in the enclosure. Looks like we night be worrying unnecessarily regarding the skin issue. Suppose it's like being a new parent for the first time all over again!

    Sully Advice Please

Thanks Laura, we sprinkle their food with calcium powder a couple of times a week and there is a cuttle bone in the table. Unfortunately it is very difficult to give them any natural sunlight at the moment as it is too cold to take them outside. They have a basking stone and get the MVB for...

    Sully Advice Please

We have had Daisy and Duke since November 2011 when they were both 17 weeks old. They settled into their new home very well and were very lively and had great appetites. However over the last couple of weeks they seem to have slowed down considerably and are eating less and sleeping more...

Growing a smooth baby... LOTS OF PICS

Have been catching up on the forum since acquiring our two sully's at 13 weeks old. We have had them for about 6 weeks now so they must be pushing 5 months old. We have taken advice both from information provided on this forum and the breeder we purchased them from. I have asked further advice...

Can I house (2) 4-month old Sulcatas together?

We have just acquired two 13 month Sully's. They seem to be getting on fine in the same enclosure, however they were from the same clutch. One is definately more lively than the other though so we are keeping a close eye on them at the moment. Sounds like you are going to give the little fella...

    Temperature at night for 4mo

Its getting colder over here in UK and e have just taken in two 13 month old Sully's. I reckon temp is dropping to circa 60 at night in our house which I am concerned is too cold for them. Was going to get a ceramic emitter today but would a black bulb still do the job?

New Additions - Daisy & Duke

Thanks again for the advice. We only got them on sunday so still plenty of learning to do although we have been used to having Horsfields in the family in the past. They seem to have an appetite for dandelions, they don't last long! Anyway, it's getting late here and work in the morning so...

New Additions - Daisy & Duke

Thanks Laura. There is a cuttle bone in the enclosure which they have both had a go at. The shavings you can see is actually the hay which was only in the cooler area of the enclosure and where the hide is. They have managed to drag it through the soil! I don't think I like it really and might...

New Additions - Daisy & Duke

Okay, first proper post with a new thread on the forum for apologies if I've posted this in the wrong section. We have finally taken receipt of our two new baby Sulcata's 'Daisy' & 'Duke'. In the picture above Duke is on the left and is ever so slightly smaller than Daisy. They are...
