Omg can you tell the gender? We don't know the age or gender- bought him/her at a pet store a month or so ago.

I've only seen him dragging once or twice - but it worried me. He is an active little one - loves to explore and climb things. His shell doesn't seem to bother him.

Yes he is a russian tortoise. We use mulch. Are we doing everything wrong?!

He walks tall most of the time. Just every so often he drags himself. He eats lettuce - a variety of types, weeds outside, and fruit once or twice per week. We've been soaking him almost daily - Am I supposed to soak him that frequently?

It's been gradually getting worse - I don't know the cause of it. Would this happen when he drags himself across surfaces? He does that sometimes..

I named my tortoise Arnesto. I don't know what I will do if I find out he is a female.....

What incredible things are your torts doing!?

We've lost Arnesto several times! So now were experimenting with different ways to keep track of the little guy when he roams around outside.. Any ideas??
