bruc el lishous

hello all at tortoise forum
In the past 3/4 weeks since been given my tort as a 6oth birthday gift I have found this site absolutely invaluable , so I thought I would sign up !
This little chap came to me as Bruce from a home were he was much loved but a young and very busy family and that thought the best for him was to be rehome - LUCKY ME ! I cant tell you how much lol .
I will endevere to post some before and now pictures of him
I have his registration documents birth approx. July - August 2015 , also chipped - Testdou marginatae ( please excuse spelling )
I have followed all your advice posts and in the short while he has been with us I feel he has very much improved
I have gradually introduced an new environment - appetite really really good now regular poops and wees ( happy days !) - bathed every other day
now on coco choir but next time will try soil and sand
he has even ( in the last 2 days ) borrowing down at nigh , sometimes in his cave and sometimes between the outside and under a basil plant
I have placed thing in corners and rarely have I seen him scrabbling at the corners of his box , he comes out at least twice / three times a day and scuttles around various rooms in the house ( supervised !LOL)
have great plans for him for the summer
I measured and weighed him when I got him and will do this every first of the month - it appears he is very small and under weight
on the first of Nove '17 he was 7.5cm and 85 gms
his lamp is arcadia mini d3 basking lamp 80w and his table about 18 " x 38 "
which I think is to small ( my husband has a job list )
He came to us with all his stuff
Ooooo sorry for such a long introduction but I think you can tell I want the best for this little chap - look forwards to speaking to new tort tiers - regards Gill
