I was wondering if anyone has a broken ZooMed ReptiFogger laying around. My husband accidentally threw away a couple parts of ours when the fan broke, and now that we got a replacement fan we don't have the other pieces. In the attached image, we need A and C. I will probably buy a new one but...
No, she's indoor only except on really nice days I set them out in an enclosure on the deck for a few hours. As for the vet, it went well! I was so relieved. She had irritation and the start of an infection in that area (which was starting to get under the other rear leg as well) from trapped...
I just noticed this evening while holding my younger box turtle that there was something on her right hind leg. After I picked it off I noticed quite a few pieces of wet debris the same color as her plastron. As she kicked around I lifted the skin up and noticed an opening in her body where the...
Thanks, everyone!! I picked up some Sphagnum Moss today. I figure I'll cover the bottom with the Eco Earth I have left, then cover with the moss and see how that goes for now.
What has everyone found to be the best indoor substrate to use? I used Eco Earth at first, but it made such a mess in the water dish because so much of it stuck to them and then washed off in their dish. I am currently using plain rabbit pellets that I read about online somewhere, but am not...

Same here...I judge the quality of person by whether or not they care about turtles, lol. Okay, I don't base it solely on that, but I love to meet kindred spirits. :tort:

I can't believe I didn't post this before...I'm quite proud of it. This is the back of my car (a red VW Beetle named...
Very admirable of you, Kelly! :) I currently live in the middle of NC, but my husband and I plan to move to the coast (preferably Holden Beach, NC) in the future so we can do more for sea turtle conservation regularly. It's been my lifelong goal. :)
These are my first Box Turtles, I've read up on sexing and it may be too soon to tell with Blaze, but I think Shelby (or Sheldon?) should be old enough. They were adopted out to me as two females, but I have doubts.
Shelby has a long hinged back claw, that I read they use to grab the female...
