You could try Glutamine, its pretty cheap and you can use it when your not sick too to help your body recover from other things...
Im not sure how to tell if you are deficient in Glutamine, but it wont hurt to take some anyways. I use it all the time for working out.

I try to clean up the poo whenever I notice it...otherwise she tramples it all around or eats it all. If I work from home I can usually get it right when she poos and get rid of it right away, but when I am in the office I usually find she has already eaten it or stomped it into the substrate.

Ive always eaten Veggies and Salad and whatnot but now that I have a tortoise I eat a lot of Spring Mix instead of Regular Romain....Just because Nova is still so small that she can't eat it all before it goes bad

Maybe it just depends on where you are from...I mean there is variations to language and how some people define things. I found the descriptions interesting on the San Diego Zoo site. There they distinguish Torts and Turtles as 2 separate things but they explain that in Australia people...
