How old do tortoise need to be to sex accurately??

She? Is a horsfield. Unfortunately that's the only pictures I have at the moment as I am still building my own table. You can see a good 2/3 of the length of her shell on that sideways picture, at a guess i would say she is about 5 inches in length on her underneath. She is currently living in...

How old do tortoise need to be to sex accurately??

I have been looking at getting a tortoise for a month or so and am currently building my own table, I have been given an unwanted tortoise from a friend who thinks she is about 2 years old. They were told she is a girl n i think she is from pics but wasn't sure how long they take to mature. Thanks

    Ramps on tortoise table?

Thank you jodie i will keep the sides higher so I'm able to put in deep substrate, I've read about using a pond liner to line the table to protect the wood from constant moisture so think I may do this if having the deeper substrate moist :) thank you

    Best species of tortoise

I have been planning on building my own table but the Russian tortoises I have seen were born last year and are around 2 to 2 1/2 inches. I read a post on here about them needing a humid environment first few years, would this be the case for a Russian tortoise this size?
