Wow, I didn't know that much about hatchlings as I got my tortoise secondhand when he was at the age of 3 and they could confirm he was a boy.

This is why whoever sells tortoises should be able to tell wether it's a male or female. That's sad but I love hatchling tortoises.

I had been using a variety of different greens and other things, but I'm looking to enrich my male indian star tortoise more? Are there any foods that I could buy in the store or get online that would be good for him?

It could be that she's getting anxious with something like temperature, outside temperature change, different food or different surroundings. Is there anything that you have changed/modified/replaced recently that could have affected her?
