I read the quote from the general post and am pasting a copy of it at the bottom of this for those who haven't read it.
I've heard that the white stuff means:
1. They are getting enough water
2. They are getting too much protein
3. They aren't getting enough water
I have owned Turbo...
Please don't stop asking questions. We all learn and enjoy. That's what the forum is for.
I have Russian. I've found that after soaking she doesn't want to eat. So I soak at night and feed in the morning. I don't soak every day. It kinda depends on how much time I have. Find what works...
I keep Turbo's temp when she is inside around 80 degrees and the humidity in the arid range. I don't take her out much because I'm worried about the temp and humidity differences.
How cute and so much fun. I've started mixing Exo Terra with a little bit of play ground sand that can be purchased at most hardware stores. I used Timothy straw for a while. I wish she could tell me what she likes best.
I just joined this site. My Russian Tortoise is a female named Turbo. I've attached a pic and she is also on you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eO7vM0kAKos
