A friend of mine rescued this today and would like to keep and rehab it. My experience is in giant tortoises and I don't know anything about shell injuries. Any advice regarding injuries and habitat would be hugely appreciated!!!!!!

Hurry there! So i am having the exact same problem as you with my BBMT concerning the color on the shell (my Lil guy does eat fine and seems ok personality wise). He even appears around the same size/age as yours (mines almost 2 months). Strange thing though, i have two in the same enclosure...
If you could, can you rec any good varieties of plants for the juvi setup?
I have raised both lamps a bit and hope that will help, but I think some cover from foliage and maybe something to create 'activity' would be useful as well?
