I have a portable green house in my backyard and was thinking about moving my tortoise into it because I have had troubles keeping his enclosure humid in the past. If he was kept in a greenhouse would I still need a UVB bulb?

I don't know much about star torts but he looks good to me. Looks healthy and is eating. I wouldn't be worried, but yet again I am the farthest thing from a star tort expert.

I am okay with tortoise town. I got a red foot hatchling from them once and I know they are supposed to be inactive as a hatchling but literally all he does is sleep and eat! But they have smooth delivery but I would not use them as a first choice. Better to get from someone on the forum or a...

Today I am going to my local plant store to buy some plants and seeds to grow for Plato:) I was wondering if anyone knew any good plants or seeds to get, especially for red foots. Thanks :)

My baby red foot has been a good eater, but he will not eat mazuri. Does anyone have any tips on helping him get one?

I wouldn't worry yet, but keep a close eye on him and see if he is acting any different. I don't know about any chemicals on sweiffers besides the pads at the bottom, not the sponge. Just monitor him and if he acts up then I would take him to the vet.

I have heard there are exceptions by species, aren't red foots usually good in small groups? I know that in the wild red foots do tend to be with other red foots.

Timers can be great for lights or maybe sprinkler systems, but misters are something I would stay away from

Do you know where I could find any of this? I don't think any palmers or Trader Joe's would have many of those, maybe Whole Foods?

I know that lots of people say it's best to look for a local breeder first but others say that buying tortoises online is the best option. What do you guys think about purchasing tortoises online?

I have seen many humidifiers fog makers lately and am wondering what your opinions are on these products. Do you think they are worth buying?
