    Would like some suggestions?

First, I do not see "thousands" of tortoise experts telling me, I see 5. I'm not asking opinions and arguing them, I just do not like being treated like a ninny, being constantly told my 60 watt bulb was inadequate when I plainly stated 3 different times he also had a 100watt ceramic heat...

    TNT

Sorry to derail this, but I've heard of TNT, how good is it, overall?

I mean, he HAS a 100 watt CERAMIC HEAT EMITTER.... in addition to the 60 watt incandescent (160 total watts of heat/light). I have a temp gun on order, for now I just use a room thermometer, just sit it in different places in the tub on occasion. In my search for uv bulbs I came across this...

    Chia?

Yea, I know it would cost less, and actually i intend to get him some mix of his own, I was just wondering what things that I would get for MYSELF that I could give to him.

    Chia?

I just went to whole foods and bought a bumload of chia seeds (fresh, organic, raw)... I'm on a healthfood kick and add it to pretty much everything.... I am wondering if I can grow some and give to filbert (a yearling russian) or does it have too much protein or whatever? Is there any other...

yes, what IS wrong with a megaray? And as for heat, his CHE is 100 watts, and the 60 watts is a supplemental. As for an outdoor habitat, I'm not sure if I will be able to for a couple of years, I live in a college town in an apartment, I am afraid he'll be stolen or killed or some other sort of...

    Would like some suggestions?

So I joined a couple months ago when I first got my rusky and I kinda dropped outta space, I have had a lot going on. I would like some suggestions as to what I can/should do for my tortoise, Filbert, with regards to his habitat? I really think he would like some things to climb on or to look...

I'm new! And Brand New to Tortoises :)

I'll try to answer most of your questions. The pellets I am using are Grassland tortoise pellets. I did have the hay piled up more, but he does that smooshing and spreading by himself, by eagerly chomping and digging for the grass, he actually does love the grass, I was surprised. I don't know...

I'm new! And Brand New to Tortoises :)

 How could I forget! It's a russian tortoise, and it's a very very beautiful little baby... Still haven't thought of a name yet, of course am trying to find one that's a little ambiguous since I don't know the gender of it. I'm not good with names, lol.[hr] Sorry they have to...

I'm new! And Brand New to Tortoises :)

Hi everyone, I am ranapipiens89, you can call me rp89 if you want, lol. I'm brand new here and I'm really super excited to be here. You see, I've wanted a tortoise ever since I became interested in reptiles when I was like 8 years old. I could never find or afford any and would sometimes placate...
