    Turtle tank upgrade

For outdoor something like this ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003TO45FU/?tag=exoticpetnetw-20 ) would be very easy to install and a quarter of the cost. Just an option

    Humidity help please

Sphagnum moss. Cheap, holds moisture, resists mold and bacteria growth. If you have a hide, even a plastic shoe box turned upside down with a moist substrate in it, they can go into as needed.

I would agree with the above statement. mix in a little calcium, but put it in the middle of the greens where he can't see it. Just a tiny bit at a time. Also, some greens contain higher calcium content than others.

    Linear UVB Lighting Style?

I like to use the reflectors whenever possible. It keeps the light focused more to one area and can increase the amount of light depending on the reflector.

    Quick! UVB light

I would just make sure that the light is far enough away that the heat doesn't raise the temps of the enclosure too much, and there is no way of burning your tort. As Tim the tool man Taylor says, "More power!"!!! (flashback momento_O)

Finally! Glad to be joining the club!

My guy will bask under the uvb when he needs to. You want to have an area that they can get out of the uvb if they feel the need too.

Finally! Glad to be joining the club!

Yup! Coil bulbs are evil! I like topsoil and peat mix. The peat helps hold the moisture a bit.
