Ah, I had no idea. I went by what my friend who gave it to me told me. I know the beak has nerves. So I don't want to trim it to short to fast also.

I bought 2 bags of Ecomed loose coconut substrate. Now 1 day later there are ants everywhere! Neverhad this problem. Very small black ants. If I froze the bags can I reuse it? It was expensive :-(

I did double up the gate to fill in the gaps . But only next to her house. I could double it up the whole way. I have 7" from the substrate to the top of the box. That's not enough? I put a baby gate on the couch . so I am not worried about the dogs. They are good.

Should I put the gate the whole way around it?
