At what temp is it safe to move my Russians outside? Right now it's 60s day but still gets to 40s at night

It is a rather small tail that mine has but then again it's more of a slit so idk

That's what I'm saying, the tail says male, but to me it's overall size and even the size of its tail says female so idk

Yea I'm confused too, I would of said male also but it is so big

Thanks Tom, the lady I got it from says she's had it for 10 years, she's too old to take care of it. She kept it with 3 box turtles for the past 7 years or so

I can try to get more tail pics he she didn't like me messing with it

He/she is very big, I was thinking girl too based on size the woman who gave him her to me says boy, so idk all the pics in this thread are the same tortoise

How big of an enclosure should say Russian tortoise babies be in? I have a couple 50 gallon tank 36x18 foot print. I also have a 120 48x24 foot print.

Does this help at all?
