Where to buy an Egyptian Tortious

Annette's great, I actually got my Egyptian from her! By chance do you know anyone closer to Idaho/Utah? Thanks!

Best Tortoise to have in utah

Reviving this thread in search of Utahns and other people close by! I'm in Idaho with a young female Egyptian tortoise. Do any of you know reputable breeders in the area? Particularly thinking of Egyptians. Thanks!

Where to buy an Egyptian Tortious

On this same topic: Does anybody know breeders of Egyptians in Idaho or Utah? I have a young female and want to know who my neighbors are, people I can go to for advice, or possibly purchase more Egyptians from down the line. My wife and I had this dream of helping to conserve the species...

    New to TortoiseForum.

As a soon-to-be kleinmanni owner myself, I have many of the same questions! To me, the only thing that jumps out from your description is the mercury vapor bulb; I've read a few times here that those are to be avoided. But I'm happily following to see what answers you get from the community!

Good things to know! I'll run some more numbers and see what I can do for a larger habitat in the earlier years. I'd like to keep it on a table or otherwise elevated for as long as possible, since my knees aren't great, but I might be able to get my hands on a used dining room table (you know...

    Soon-to-be-tortoise-dad

Wow, I'm getting some great feedback here! Thank you all for your comments so far. Redfoots are pretty incredible animals. I lived for a couple of years in South America, but never got to see one. Alas, Uruguay's too far south for their range, I believe. I'm hoping that a smaller cherry head...

    Soon-to-be-tortoise-dad

Great to know about Tortstork! Thanks for the tip. I know how tricky it can be to properly care for reptiles. My parents rescued a green iguana from a terrible home that let him run around the house like a dog, and eat dog food. He escaped from us after a few weeks, and shortly after we found...

    Soon-to-be-tortoise-dad

Hello everyone! I've been lurking on this site for a few weeks, reading and learning a ton. What a great resource and community! As a prospective first-time tortoise owner, I'm eyebrows deep in planning the correct setup. I currently have NO equipment at all, only aspirations. I've always...
