Hi @Chefdenoel10 @ZEROPILOT and @Blackdog1714
Thank you all so much for the support. Kirby has been doing much better as this week has passed. On Sunday/Monday there was, I would say, some lingering behavior in that she seemed a little less active, but the breathing issues were gone and she...
Quick update, she ate a little more of the dried mazuri left on her eating rock and then headed off to bed. I think I have heard her sniffing / exhaling a little but mostly she seems to be asleep. I will continue to monitor. I wish I knew what happened! ?
Hi everyone,
Up front I’ll just say that while typing this, things feel less scary than when I started. But I’d still love some consult!
Kirby, my 6 yo Dalmatian Hermanns started acting distressed this evening after eating some pellets of mushy mazuri. She was doing the following in 5-15 sec...
Hi @Yvonne G , thank you so much for weighing in. I followed your guidelines this morning. She was fiesty as always when I dug her out. Thats the 4th time that Ive dug her out in the past couple of months and she never seems dazed or sleepy which seems to go against what I thought I knew...

I do have the ability to install an additional 4 foot long flourescent...
I tried hard to find the answer elsewhere and the fact that my wife and I were unsuccessful makes me all the more concerned.
Kirby, a Dalmatian Herman’s I got as a hatchling in 2015 (and posted about back then), has spent April and May in weeks long periods of burrowing. I dug her out after a...
Hi all,

Try @HermanniChris. I recently got one from him and, though I haven't gotten around to it, I want to write a stellar review because my experience was top notch.
Hi all,
In the interest of sharing, I'd like to post some pics of our in-progress Hermann's hatchling enclosure.
When I first began constructing this, we thought we might get a full sized tortoise, hence the large book case. Since then we were convinced to get a hatchling, so I...
