This is Yurtle now

Looks like my western box did after we found her she had been lost in our back yard for two years. Once she got healthy again her colors came out on her shell. Brown eyes makes Junior a girl.

Could be a western box turtle. Looks a lot like mine.

I have dogs a a tortoise I built a habitat for Yurtle Turtle that keeps the dogs out.

I think we did good for a turtle rescued out of the street. I thought she was a rock and almost ran her over. She had peeling paint on her back so I knew she wasn’t a wild turtle. No one calmed her so I did some research and found this forum very helpful. Thank you.
